5.0 out of 5 stars a beautiful story of the transformative power of faith-driven forgiveness Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2021 - AMAZON Kindle Edition Verified Purchase - Louise Wow! It is refreshing to read an honest account of how a life can be shaped by unforgiveness, and yet still, beautifully redeemed by the transformative and healing power of faith-driven forgiveness, and the ripple of that inner peace on the lives of others. Sean fluently articulates how unresolved trauma from childhood experiences and relationships shaped his belief system to cumulatively misguide his life, leading further away from true purpose and into darkness. Personally, I could see how this book is relevant to every human. It encourages a deep examination of our own potentially faulty beliefs by testing them against the truth of the bible. Interesting, that Sean makes the connection between his unreconciled relationships/trauma, un-forgiveness, and the resulting spiritual blindness that opened him to deception from the demonic realm. Creating a cycle of expanding spiritual blindness that kept him from receiving Jesus as his saviour, and one road to life. Sean's story highlights the deceptive nature of the many different occult pathways he explored. Even with diligent practice and study, each time the promises of a modality proved to be false, and instead destructive in some shape or form. It is helpful to see that Sean's healing, and realignment with true purpose was not instantaneous, but a journey of incrementally strengthened faith through prayer, community worship, daily scripture, learning to discern the Holy Spirit's guidance, being prayed over and for, and addressing the roots of unforgiveness. Also, relatable is that the journey was not linear but unique to Sean's background of traumas, beliefs, community and environment. Through a developing relationship with the Holy Spirit, Sean was guided to engage with all the God-given tools for healing in the right balance and timing. A memorable reminder of the importance of surrender and trust in God's wisdom. Personally, being new to the Christian faith, I have often felt overwhelmed by the spectrum of opinions on the scriptures, and how to engage with the process of sanctification. Initially, the practice of forgiveness was both misunderstood and overlooked. Also, admittedly the verses emphasising forgiveness were placed in the “too hard basket”. But Sean’s book highlights that forgiveness is a fundamental practice for a Christian to walk in deepening faith and alignment with purpose. This story renews my willingness to embrace the difficult and uncomfortable, yet liberating and life-saving, journey of faith driven forgiveness. Lastly, it is powerful to read about such a positive transformation brought about by submission to God's will. To hear stories of miraculous renewal happening in the lives of Christians today is encouraging. Our mirror neurons need these sorts of relatable accounts to help us believe God's promises in a world that makes it difficult.
